KC Royals: Five Players to Watch in First Series Vs Cleveland Indians
ERIC HOSMER
Is Eric Hosmer starting to heat up? He’s looked much better in his last few games and currently is riding an eight-game hitting streak.
During the last series against Chicago, Hosmer went 5-for-15 with three RBI and three runs. He also added a second home run to his season total and very well could be heading into his first hot streak of the season. His batting average is now a more respectable .252 (compared to what it was a week ago, at least).
Everyone in Kansas City has been tough on Hosmer this season. I feel like a lot of it is Royals fans being bitter that he might not be returning next season and they’re trying to pick a fight with him so that him departing won’t be as hard. Well, stop it, fans. Eric Hosmer owes the fans nothing.
Hosmer has shown that he can perform in big time moments and that’s what will get him paid this offseason. He’s slowly, but surely starting to hit like Royals fans expected him to this year and if he can keep the hitting streak going, fans will be enthused.
