Kansas City Chiefs: 5 Guys To Watch For 2018

No. 2: Kyle Fuller – CB – Bears

I was completely shocked when the Kansas City Chiefs decided against taking advantage of a stacked cornerback class in the 2017 NFL Draft. As it sits, the Chiefs only have three corners under contract in 2018. Only two of those, Marcus Peters and Steven Nelson, have shown they are worth keeping. That makes Kyle Fuller an interesting option.

Kyle Fuller seems to be a case of the team and player simply not getting along. Fuller sat out last year after a knee scope. The Bears designated him to return from Injured Reserve, but Fuller insisted that his knee was not ready to play on. Chicago has already put in the work to replace him by signing Prince Amukamara and Marcus Cooper.

Through 2014 and 2015, Kyle Fuller was a productive player. He has shown that he has talent and can hang in the NFL. In my book, this is a failure of the Bears organization to properly communicate with a player. That mistake could be to the benefit of the Chiefs who should be looking for secondary help in 2018.
