Kansas City Chiefs: 5 Guys To Watch For 2018

No. 3: Teddy Bridgewater – QB – Vikings

One of the more popular prospects of the 2014 NFL Draft for Kansas City Chiefs fans was Teddy Bridgewater. The Louisville quarterback eventually went to Minnesota was an adequate “game manager” for them until his horrific injury last year. Apparently that is enough for the Vikings to decide it’s time to move on.

Obviously there is a major question about whether or not Bridgewater will ever even play again. It is an ominous sign that the Vikings wouldn’t seek to take advantage of contract rules that would keep him in Minnesota through 2019. However, that’s why these are player to watch.

If Teddy Bridgewater hits Free Agency in 2018, the Chiefs should absolutely bring him in for a workout, at the very least. By drafting Pat Mahomes, Kansas City is in position to move on from Alex Smith. However, the team will still need a backup and Tyler Bray is also headed for Free Agency next year. Why wouldn’t you kick the tires?
