Kansas City Chiefs: 5 Guys To Watch For 2018

No. 5: Dominique Easley – DE – Rams

The first guy that makes this list of players for the Kansas City Chiefs to watch wasn’t even eligible for the 5th year option. That’s because Dominique Easley was released, unexpectedly, by the New England Patriots. That was the cap on a disappointing early career that was riddled with injuries.

The Rams picked up Dominique Easley last year and seem content to go year to year with him. That means he should hit the free agent market in 2018. When that happens, the Chiefs should absolutely give him a look. Easley has a frame that would allow him to play a number of positions, including 3-4 DE or OLB.

The truth is that Dominique Easley would have a hard time making the Chiefs roster. However, Kansas City hasn’t shied away from veterans like that before. Giving him a chance to resurrect his career could end up being a springboard for Easley. If that is the case, then KC would reap the rewards.
