IAN KENNEDY

Ian Kennedy has been nails so far this season, starting in five games and 31.1 innings. He’s currently sporting a shiny 2.30 ERA in those five starts, giving up no more than three games in each game.

Kennedy’s latest start came against Minnesota, where he pitched 5.2 innings of two-run ball. Unfortunately, his team couldn’t give him run support and he yet again did not receive a win for his efforts.

Ian Kennedy still has a record of 0-2 and has recorded 28 strikeouts during his five starts. He’s been top notch for Kansas City, but hasn’t been rewarded for it. I honestly wouldn’t be surprise if he keeps pitching like this to see other clubs interested in trading for him, even with that gigantic contract still attached to his name.

It’s really a shame that the Royals can’t score more runs because their starters, for the most part, have been incredible.
