After drafting Patrick Mahomes with the tenth pick overall of the NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs made dreams come true for many KC fans. The next pick that the Chiefs have is 59th overall, so will the Chiefs trade up for another playmaker in Dalvin Cook?

What a night Chiefs fans! For the first time since 1983 the Kansas City Chiefs have finally drafted a first round quarterback. If you ask me, I am happier than can be. When the draft board was being decided last night Kansas City was an aggressive voice in trade talks according to many sources around the draft tables.

The Chiefs obviously see something in Patrick Mahomes and I believe made the best choice in selecting him. While round one of the draft was exciting, (and I am already purchasing a Patrick Mahomes jersey), round two is just as important.

The Chiefs need another playmaker at running back. As of last season it was clear that Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West may not be the type of players to lead the run game. So, will the Chiefs trade up once again and make this the all in draft year?

As our own Ben Almquist mentioned in the Live Draft War Room on KC Kingdom, this trade up is possible. So, will John Dorsey think about trading up to get this star running back out of Florida State?

Well, first things first the price will be high. With the 59th pick overall the Chiefs definitely do not have a current standing on the board that sees them taking Dalvin Cook. So, if the Chiefs do trade to acquire Cook what are the potential candidates for trades?

Assuming the Chiefs are trading up for Dalvin Cook then they will most likely need the highest standing in the second round that they can get. Frontrunners on the board for round two are looking for their prospects as well, so trading up will be hardly the easiest thing ever.

Candidates like the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers are pursueble targets. The Jaguars have landed Leonard Fournette, and the Panthers have landed Christian McCaffery. Both of these teams have already solved their problems at running back.

While they may have other problems to solve, what the Chiefs wager may influence their decision. With the tenth pick in the NFL Draft the Chiefs have already pretty much satisfied their fans with the quarterback of the future. Patrick Mahomes may not play next season, but he will suit up sooner than later in red and yellow.

If John Dorsey decides to pursue Dalvin Cook he will most likely start next season, and cap off an amazing NFL Draft. So, what do you think Chiefs fans? Does Dorsey need to attack once again for Dalvin Cook?
