Our first trade of the 2017 NFL Draft is an interesting one. The Titans don’t quite get good value on this for not giving up much. Tennessee didn’t have a 2nd round pick, and now they do. Interestingly enough, this wasn’t the only team looking to move up to get a quarterback here.

2017 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft

Cleveland Browns – Jesse Holt

53. The Browns are moving up to choose Mitchell Trubisky with the fifth overall pick. Trubisky has made pre-draft visits with Cleveland showing the Browns are doing their due diligence. I see them jumping ahead of the Jets to ensure they get their man.. Quarterback. North Carolina. Mitchell Trubisky. 5. player

KC Kingdom Scouting Report:

His junior year at North Carolina, however, was quite impressive. Trubisky threw for 3,748 yards, 30 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. He was also effective with his legs, rushing for 308 yards and five touchdowns.

Insider Talk – NFL.com:

“There are times he looks like another Carson Wentz and then there are times he looks like Blaine Gabbert. He has starting qualities and he’ll go early, but he better get better at seeing blitzes and throwing hot or he’ll get eaten alive by the exotic packages they are throwing at quarterbacks these days.” — Area scout for AFC team

Staff Reaction:

The Browns are always involved in conversations involving quarterbacks and they have more than enough draft picks to get their top choice in this year’s draft. By trading up to grab Mitchell Trubisky, the Browns have once again gone after their guy, and maybe this one will finally pan out for them. – Leigh Oleszczak
