2017 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft

Philadelphia Eagles – Thomas Hawkins

This was a tough one for this sports blogger, the Eagles need help in the secondary but as mentioned by our own Leigh Oleszczak the cornerback class is very deep in this year’s draft, wide receiver not so much. So the Eagles pick up Williams here.. Wide Receiver. Clemson. Mike Williams. 14. player. 54

KC Kingdom Scouting Report:

Williams was a four-year receiver at Clemson and ended his prestigious career there with 177 receptions for 2,727 yards and 21 touchdowns. Williams’ best season came this past year where he had 98 grabs for 1,361 yards and made it into the end zone 11 times.

Insider Talk – NFL.com:

“Really pretty looking when you watch him down on the field but he’s not there yet. I think he’ll get there but he’s not there yet. I don’t think he’s going to run as fast as people think. When college players get up here and find out that cornerbacks are faster and more physical, there is an adjustment period. I think it will take him some time to figure things out but I think he’ll do it. He’s going to be good, I just don’t know if he’s going to be a star.” — NFC Pro Personnel Director

Staff Reaction:

The Eagles have to do something at wide receiver, and depending on who you ask Mike Williams is the best in the draft. This pick makes a lot of sense, and if he’s on the board, I see the Eagles doing this on Thursday. ~ Ben Almquist
