NATE KARNS

Nate Karns will take the mound in the third game of this series versus Chicago and he will be looking for a better outing than he had in the second game of the Rangers series. Karns struggled in Texas, throwing 4.2 innings and allowing six runs off of five hits.

Karns has had some nice starts this year, but he’s appeared to be pretty hit or miss so far. He’s currently posting a 6.35 ERA and has walked nine batters in his four appearances. He’s struck out 14 guys.

When Nate Karns is on, he’s on, but when he’s having a rough day, it can be pretty ugly. He gave up four home runs in that game against the Rangers and just looked defeated after he gave up the second one.

All starters are due for bad starts and fans couldn’t expect the Royals starters to continue to be as dominant as they had been. Karns will bounce back and the White Sox should be a nice team for him to bounce back against.
