Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup

Todd McShay – ESPN

Check out his latest mock draft here.

Running Back. Florida State. Dalvin Cook. 27. player. 124. Cook is perfect for Andy Reid’s system. He is explosive in the open field and a natural pass-catcher out of the backfield. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Cook fall this far, given concerns over his shoulder, character baggage and fumbling issues.

Todd McShay isn’t wrong about Dalvin Cook being a perfect fit for the Kansas City Chiefs offense. The analysis of the player is dead on here. Cook would become an instant starter for the Chiefs and could help the offense pick up the pace a bit.

However, like I said with Christian McCaffrey earlier, it’s hard to see the Chiefs jumping at a running back so early in this draft. There is just so much talent to be had later on. I don’t think John Dorsey would pass on some of these other top tier players in favor of getting a running back, regardless of who that back is.
