This is one of many mock drafts that has the Kansas City Chiefs taking a quarterback in the first round. It makes sense given all we know about the Chiefs right now. They have shown plenty of interest in checking out quarterbacks, and there is definitely a space on the roster. However, I simply don’t know that one will be available.
I think the top quarterbacks in this draft will come off the board much sooner than anticipated. As for Patrick Mahomes, I don’t see any way that the Cardinals let him get past #13. There are a lot of teams that need to think about their quarterback for the future, and many are in a better draft position than the Chiefs are.
