Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup

Leigh Oleszczak – KC Kingdom

player. 124. McCaffrey is a stud and was gypped out of the Heisman Trophy during the 2015 season (it went to Derrick Henry of Alabama instead). This kid can do it all: From running the ball to catching the ball to returning the ball, he’s unstoppable.. Running Back. Stanford. Christian McCaffrey. 27

The Kansas City Chiefs are absolutely in the market for a running back in this year’s draft. They need to replace that big play element that Jamaal Charles once brought to the roster. Christian McCaffrey is certainly a big play guy. As a fit for the Chiefs, he’s just about perfect.

However, this is a strong class for running backs, and there are very good ones to be found as late as the 5th round. With Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West already on the roster, I don’t know that KC will be looking to spend such an early pick on the position. There will be very talented players at other positions in more need of help at #27, so I don’t know that this is the move.
