Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup

Ron Clements – Sporting News

Check out his latest mock draft here.

Jones — the most complete and accomplished receiver in the draft — is a perfect fit for the Chiefs and what Andy Reid wants in a receiver. He has ideal height and weight at 6-2, 201 and his stock soared after he ran a 4.45 40 at the combine. That was after he was the best receiver at the Senior Bowl. Jones caught 158 passes for 1,746 yards and eight touchdowns last year to set the NCAA single-season record for receptions. He also finished his career as the NCAA’s all-time leading receiver with 399 catches for 4,279 yards and 23 scores.. Wide Receiver. East Carolina. Zay Jones. 27. player. 124

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver corps had a pretty rough year in 2016. Jeremy Maclin was dealing with multiple problems, and Chris Conley did not appear ready for his role. This has a lot of analysts and fans putting receiver high up on the Chiefs list of needs.

However, I think Kansas City has already found their man opposite of Jeremy Maclin in Tyreek Hill. Despite being a rookie learning a new position, Hill excelled for the Chiefs in their passing game. He established an early connection with Alex Smith, and I think KC will want to see how that develops.
