DOUG HUDSON

ONE GAME (ONE START)

Doug Hudson is the first guy to appear on here who actually started a game for the Chiefs. He was a seventh round selection by Kansas City in the 1987 NFL Draft and saw starting time that year.

Hudson may have started a game, but that wasn’t a good thing for the Chiefs, as in that start, he was sacked in the end zone for a safety. That’s the lone play Hudson ever had.

Doug Hudson held a long streak for the Kansas City Chiefs though. That streak was the distinction of being the last quarterback to be drafted by the Chiefs to actually start a game for the organization. This record was broken 19 years later when Brodie Croyle started for the team in 2006. More on that later.

While Hudson wasn’t anything great for the Chiefs, he did start in a game, and that’s not something a lot of drafted Chiefs quarterbacks can say.
