Sporting KC Match Grades

Unit Performances

B. . OFF. Sporting KC. THE OFFENSE

It wasn’t a dominating game for the offense of Sporting KC. However, they did just enough to get the win, and that included Dom Dwyer finding the back of the net. Dwyer has started to heat up, which is great news. However, the rest of the team needs to start pulling their weight. One goal won’t be enough in many games this year.

. DEF. Sporting KC. THE DEFENSE. A

The Portland Timbers still lead MLS in goals scored. That comes after being shut out by Sporting KC. That tells you just how strong an offense this is. However, they weren’t strong enough to penetrate the SKC defense, which tells you how strong a defense Kansas City has. This was a light’s out performance.
