The Kansas City Royals lost their most recent series to the Oakland Athletics and did not look the best. Their offense floundered for the first two games and the bullpen wasn’t at its peak either. Who should we watch in the next series?

Starting the first week of the season as the second to last team in runs scored in the entire league isn’t exactly what the Kansas City Royals were hoping for this year. The Royals needed to get off to a hot start and have done anything but up to this point.

The offense has sucked, the bullpen has sucked, and the starting pitching really hasn’t had a chance to look as good due to the other poor areas of the team. It’s been a rough beginning for the KC Royals and they don’t have a ton of time before fans start to lose interest.

The Royals have a chance to redeem themselves this weekend and it’ll come against the Los Angeles Angels, who are 6-4 on the season. The Angels have arguably the biggest name in the entire sport in Mike Trout, who has a .294 batting average and three home runs already this season.

Containing Mike Trout is a big concern, but the Royals also need to be able to score in this series. The Angels have put up a large amount of runs during their 6-4 stretch and could do some serious damage against this less than stellar Royals bullpen.

So, let’s take a look at five members of the KC Royals to keep an eye on in this series.
