WASHINGTON REDSKINS (17TH OVERALL PICK)

Oh how quickly things have changed. Just a season ago, the Redskins seemed to be in love with Kirk Cousins, but this offseason there were trade rumors swirling over them potentially trading him to the 49ers.

Washington placed the franchise tag on Cousins, but there wasn’t the same excitement with it as there was last year. In other words, don’t be shocked if the Redskins do decide to go with a quarterback in the first round, even if it’s not being discussed.

The Redskins also have Colt McCoy on their roster, who has been a serviceable backup, but likely isn’t the answer at the starting spot moving forward.

Ultimately, I see Washington addressing the defensive side of the ball, but this is definitely a team that could surprise people come draft day. Keep an eye on the Redskins for sure.
