NEW YORK JETS (SIXTH OVERALL PICK)

The Titans are the first team that I can say with certainly won’t draft a quarterback in the first round due to having Marcus Mariota on their squad, so that leads us to the sixth overall pick with the Jets.

New York is a disaster at the quarterback position and have been that way ever since Mark Sanchez left. Last season they realized that Ryan Fitzpatrick is overrated, that Geno Smith is never going to be anyone’s answer at quarterback, and that they have two young gun slingers who need some fine tuning in Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg.

The Jets really need to upgrade several positions on their team, but I could see them going after Deshaun Watson or another quarterback with their first round pick. They really don’t have a for sure starter heading into the season this year, which is why drafting a rookie QB might be their solution.

I guess the Jets did ink Josh McCown to a contract, but at this point, is McCown worth relying on for any NFL team? I say no.
