Kansas City Royals Series Grades

Game 3: Royals Lose 3-5

Well, at least it was a competitive showing for the Kansas City Chiefs. There is little else in the realm of “silver linings” to take from this. The sweep is complete for the Twins and the Royals start the year 0-3.

C-. At least there were some signs of life in this one. The Royals bats woke up a little bit. However, another 7th inning failure was the story in this one.. . Kansas City Royals. GAME THREE

You guessed it, another poor showing in the seventh inning. This time it belonged to Mike Minor though. However, that shouldn’t let the rest of the bullpen off the hook. The relief staff didn’t give up many runs, but they were far from looking good. Ned Yost is going to have to find some answers here fast.

The Royals were at least hitting the ball in this one. Three runs on nine hits isn’t…terrible. However, a squandered opportunity with the bases loaded and only one out in the sixth inning would cost KC the game. Those are situations that have to be capitalized on, and there haven’t been many signs that Kansas City will be able to do that this year.
