MIKE MOUSTAKAS

The best hitter in the KC Royals lineup so far has been Mike Moustakas. Moose has crushed two home runs in just three games and has looked like his 2015 form.

With Dallas Keuchel set to pitch against the Royals on Saturday, Moose will have to step up and be the power guy in the Royals lineup. Mike Fiers is taking the bump on Friday.

Fans were hoping to see Moustakas get back to that 2015 form last season, but an ACL injury took him out of the game for the last four months of the season. It was rough scoring runs without Moose, and without him, this lineup would have only scored three runs in their first series.

If Mike Moustakas can keep crushing baseballs out of the park, then hopefully the rest of the offense can adopt some of that mojo. This lineup needs juice and Mike Moustakas has been providing that in the first three games.

Moose has a lot riding on him this season and he knows it. He’s a free agent after this season and knows that powering home runs all season long will be the best way to notch a big contract with another team, or hell, even with the Royals.
