The Kansas City Royals finished their first series of the 2017 season by getting swept by the Minnesota Twins. They’ll now head to Houston to face the fiery Astros in a three-game series.

Things couldn’t be much worse for the Kansas City Royals right now, as they’re starting their 2017 campaign with an 0-3 record. To make matters worse, they’ll be traveling to face the red hot Houston Astros, who are 3-0 on the season.

The Royals and Astros have history, at least recently, and it’s a lot of bad beef between these two teams. Houston still hasn’t forgiven the Royals for what they did to them in 2015 ALDS and they’re likely still pretty pissed off about not making the playoffs last season.

All of that combined with how bad the Royals pitching has been and this could be a series filled with utter disaster for the KC Royals.

It’s still early in the season, which means that the Royals have plenty of opportunities to turn things around. Let’s take a look at five players who should be garnering the most attention during this series.
