ROYALS BOLD PREDICTIONS – AT LEAST THREE BATTERS WILL HIT 25 OR MORE HOME RUNS

The Kansas City Royals have never really been a power team, but with the additions of Jorge Soler (assuming my first bold prediction doesn’t happen) and Brandon Moss, I think this team could take a jump in the power standings this season.

Moss has hit at least 20 home runs in all but one season since the 2012 season (and the one season he didn’t, he came up one shy of 20 with 19) and has shown that he knows how to belt baseballs out of Kauffman Stadium. Remember – Moss was the guy who crushed home runs right and left against the Royals in the Wild Card Game back in 2014.

We hated him then, but Moss’ ability to slam that baseball out of the park on a regular basis at a stadium like the K is impressive. Moss should easily hit 25 home runs this season.

I also think Eric Hosmer will be out to prove himself this season due to wanting a big time contract. He’ll at least match his career high from a season ago at 25 home runs.

The third batter in the running will either be Mike Moustaskas or Salvador Perez. Both of these guys have 22 home runs as their current career high, but I think either could get to 25 in 2017. Moose will be out to prove himself for a new deal somewhere and Perez always gets hot and hits multiple home runs at a time.
