ROYALS BOLD PREDICTIONS – KENNEDY WINS 15 GAMES

I already predicted Danny Duffy to notch 20 wins this season, and now I’m pegging the number two starter Ian Kennedy to win 15 games.

Kennedy had an up and down year last season, which was his first in Kansas City. He had received a gigantic contract to come to the Royals and ended up with a 3.68 ERA and 11 wins.

Kennedy, next to Duffy, was the most impressive guy in the rotation last season and at times was the only decent starter. With his ability to eat up innings and strike guys out, I see another good season for Ian Kennedy in 2017.

It will have been quite the ride for Kennedy, as he went from being one of the highest paid guys on the team to nearly being packaged in a trade last summer to now being a huge asset to this rotation.

Kennedy did have 11 losses on the year last season too, but keep in mind that this offense was not good last year. They weren’t all Kennedy’s fault. He’ll win more than 11 games in 2017.
