ROYALS BOLD PREDICTIONS – CAIN RETURNS TO 2015 FORM

Lorenzo Cain didn’t necessarily have a bad year in 2016, he was just injured a lot. In fact, the outfielder was shut down in the final few weeks of the season due to a nagging wrist injury.

This Royals offense is a totally different unit when Cain isn’t in the lineup.

Predicting the Royals to win the Central will be largely in thanks to Lorenzo Cain recovering from his injured ways in 2016 and returning to that 2015 glory he had when the team won the World Series.

That 2015 season saw Cain slashing .307/.361/.477 in 140 games. Last year he only appeared in 103 games and his batting average was at .287, which isn’t bad, but was definitely a disappointment from where he was the season prior.

This Royals offense is a totally different unit when Cain isn’t in the lineup. We saw them struggle immensely without his bat in the month of July and again near the end of the season when they lost their final four games of the season to wind up with a .500 record.

If Lorenzo Cain can be his 2015 self, then this team will be unstoppable once again.
