BUD SASSER (Sixth-Round Pick, 201st Overall in 2015 NFL Draft)

Bud Sasser had a sad story heading into the NFL, as he had a pre-existing heart condition. The Rams, the team who drafted him the sixth round in 2015, didn’t end up inking him to his rookie deal.

The Rams did, however, hire Sasser to work for them in what turned out to be a pretty cool story.

Since then, Sasser has been able to play football professionally. He joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2016, which has seemingly worked out for him so far in his CFL career.

Just because guys don’t make it in the NFL doesn’t mean they’re not talented. The CFL is there to offer guys like Bud Sasser a chance to live out his dream of playing professional football and it’s nice to see that he’s getting that chance.
