MARCUS MURPHY (Seventh-Round Pick, 230th Overall in 2015 NFL Draft)

Kicking off the long list of Tigers to be drafted into the big leagues in 2015 is Marcus Murphy, who was a seventh rounder by the New Orleans Saints.

Murphy has yet to start a game for the Who Dat Clan, but has been visible on the special teams unit. He returned a punt for a touchdown during his rookie season, but that’s been about it for the former Tiger.

That lone punt return went for 74 yards against the Panthers, which showed that the kid had some juice and might have something to offer for New Orleans.

With Mark Ingram slotted as the top running back for the Saints, Murphy probably won’t see a lot of action on offense any time soon, but the Saints clearly see something they like on special teams. That’s pretty big for a seventh round draft pick.
