Kansas City Chiefs 2017 Free Agency Tracker: March 10th

The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t expected to be very active in Free Agency during the 2017 offseason. Here is the current tracking of Chiefs free agents.

Free Agency has officially begun, the and  Kansas City Chiefs, along with the rest of the NFL, are now free to make key additions as needed. The Chiefs have a number of big decisions to make this spring. We have already seen several of those play out over the past couple of weeks.

Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey has already hit some of the big topics for the Chiefs. Eric Berry was re-signed to a major deal that makes him the highest paid safety in the NFL. However, a necessary casualty of that decision was the release of star running back Jamaal Charles. Another major loss is likely as KC decided against using the Franchise Tag on Dontari Poe.

The opening bell of Free Agency didn’t signify much action for the Kansas City Chiefs. However, that was largely expected. The Chiefs have a pretty full roster and not much in the way of salary cap room. As of this morning, the NFLPA puts the Chiefs at 69 players on the roster with just over $6 million in cap space…
