KERRY MEIER (Fifth-Round Pick, 165th Overall in 2010 NFL Draft)

Kerry Meier was originally a quarterback for the Kansas Jayhawks, but was shifted into a wide receiver role once Todd Reesing made it clear he was on the up and up as the starting signal caller.

Meier did well in the receiver role though, hauling in over 1,000 yards receiving in 2008 and coming close to the 1,000 yard mark again in 2009. He had eight touchdowns each season he spent as a wideout.

One round before teammate Dezmon Briscoe was selected, Kerry Meier heard his name called. He’d be joining the Atlanta Falcons as a new weapon for Matt Ryan.

Sadly, Meier only spent two seasons in the NFL and appeared in ten games during that time. He did spend both seasons with the Falcons, but never became a true weapon for them on offense.

Even though Meier didn’t strike gold in the pros, he was no doubt one of the better wide receivers to don a KU football uniform.
