RANDALL EVANS (Sixth-Round Pick, 196th Overall in 2015 NFL Draft)

This story isn’t as positive as Cody Whitehair’s NFL tale, but Randall Evans is still in the National Football League, even if it wasn’t with the team that initially drafted him.

Evans, a four-year starter for the Wildcats from 2011-2014, had the chops to play cornerback in college, but he wasn’t thought of to be a great NFL back. He ended up getting drafted in the sixth round by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015 and appeared in one game for them near the end of the 2015 season.

Evans didn’t make it through the preseason process with the Eagles, eventually getting signed to the-then San Diego Chargers practice squad. He signed a reserve contract with the now-Los Angeles Chargers earlier in the year.

So while Evans hasn’t had a lot of NFL experience, the Chargers clearly see what Bill Snyder saw in him and are going to let him remain on the team for the time being.
