The 2016 season for the Kansas City Chiefs has been in the books for awhile now, but memories still linger. The good memories are ones we’ll cherish forever, but the bad ones are discussed even more.

It can be easily said that last season was a major success for the Chiefs, and it was. Going 12-4 on the season and winning the AFC West is a major accomplishment. Even with those accolades, however, it still felt as if there was more left in these Chiefs for the postseason.

With a strong defense and a promising offense, many were hoping for a run to Super Bowl 51. As we all know, that did not happen. Where the defense triumphed in holding the Steelers to field goals, the offense faltered and struggled to put points on the board.

A lot of things fell in favor and against the Chiefs during the season. These crucial events shaped decisions during the season and now effect the Chiefs during the offseason. Many offseason conversations include Alex Smith, Eric BerryDontari Poe, and Jamaal Charles.

Along with these important offseason discussions are remnants of the impact of the previous season. Impacts that were decided by luck, injury, and field goals specifically from Ryan Succop and Chris Boswell.

So, what if the decisions and events of last season did not happen? How would the offseason be affected? How would last season had been affected? With that said lets look at all the “What Ifs” of last season.
