Chiefs Vs Eagles

The only reason I see this as a potential primetime matchup is because of the fact that Andy Reid coached in Philadelphia for 14 years before coming to Kansas City.

The last time these two met was during Reid’s first year as a head coach for the Chiefs. It was a Thursday Night Football game in week three of the 2013 regular season and the Chiefs won 26-16 in Philadelphia.

That was Reid’s first time back to the City of Brotherly Love since he had been fired and he got his revenge. This time around, the game would be played in Kansas City, and I could see this as a Monday Night Football type of match-up.

Oh, not to mention that Philadelphia’s head coach Doug Pederson used to be the offensive coordinator in Kansas City. There wasn’t really any bad blood there though.

There’s not a whole lot of hype for this match-up other than that those storylines, which is basically the definition of Monday Night Football.

I really don’t see the Chiefs getting to play the Cowboys in primetime over the Broncos or even the Raiders, so this would be the primetime NFC East match-up for Kansas City in 2017.
