Chiefs Vs Raiders

With the Oakland Raiders finally making it to the playoffs last season, the Chiefs/Raiders rivalry is back! That should mean these two make it on Sunday Night Football at least once this season.

The Raiders will be ready to show that they weren’t a fluke in 2017, and they’ll have to defeat Kansas City in order to do that.

Last year the two met in the Black Hole in week six on CBS and then at Arrowhead Stadium for a week 14 Thursday night game, and the Chiefs won in both match-ups.

Neither game was super exciting honestly, as Derek Carr continued to struggle against the Chiefs. Because these two were on Thursday Night Football last season, I don’t see that happening again. I actually wouldn’t be shocked if these two met on the first true Sunday Night Football game of the season.

The Raiders were in great position to win their first AFC West title since 2002, but a late season injury to Derek Carr basically handed the division to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders will be ready to show that they weren’t a fluke in 2017, and they’ll have to defeat Kansas City in order to do that.

That’s a task they haven’t done since the 2014 season when the Raiders beat the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football in the Black Hole. It was Oakland’s first win of the season. They were 0-10 before that.
