RANKING EVERY CHIEFS GAME FROM 2016 SEASON: NUMBER 13 – WEEK 2 VS TEXANS (19-12 LOSS)

After an incredible comeback win in the season opener, Chiefs fans were excited to see if their team could keep that momentum up in their first road game of the season.

This was one of those games looking back that the Chiefs really should have won.

They did not keep that momentum up in their first road game of the season. The Chiefs offense laid a big ol’ goose egg on the scoreboard and were it not for Cairo Santos, they’d have been shut out in this game.

This game was the infamous “Marcus Peters finger wag penalty”. It was also before Brock Osweiler really started sucking, but he definitely didn’t play great in this game.

This was one of those games looking back that the Chiefs really should have won. Had their offense just put one touchdown on the board, it’d have been an entirely different ball game, and the Chiefs would have probably won the AFC West earlier than the final game of the season.

Instead, Kansas City floundered to the Houston Texans, who were determined to get their revenge on the Chiefs after kicking their butts in the playoffs the season prior.
