Kansas City Chiefs: Ranking Every Game from 2016 Season

RANKING EVERY CHIEFS GAME FROM 2016 SEASON: NUMBER 15 – WEEK 15 VS TITANS (19-17 LOSS)

After a crazy Thursday night win against the Raiders, Chiefs Kingdom was feeling the AFC West crown in their grasp. When week 15 rolled around against the Titans, several people were expecting a trap game to occur at a frigid cold Arrowhead Stadium.

A large part of why this game was the second worst regular season game was because the offense fell flat on their faces. After two consecutive touchdowns to start off the game, the Chiefs offense couldn’t move the ball at all.

Had the Chiefs and Titans played earlier on in the season, Kansas City would have won.

Another reason this game blew chunks was because the Titans won in the final seconds off of Ryan Succop‘s game-winning field goal. Yeah, the same Ryan Succop that used to play for this team.

Originally Succopp had missed the attempt, but Andy Reid called a timeout to ice him and then the former Chief went on to nail the kick and give the Titans the win. It was a brutal way to lose.

This game also started to bring up the whole “Arrowhead advantage is a myth” talk, which made a lot of sense. No one showed up to this game due to the frigid temperatures and therefore, the Titans really didn’t have to fight the crowd noise.

Had the Chiefs and Titans played earlier on in the season, Kansas City would have won. Unfortunately, they played Tennessee during a time in which they had a ton to play for still, and the Titans showed up big.

This loss made winning the AFC West become less of a reality, but we all know that ended up working out okay. Still though… This loss to the Titans sucked majorly.
