With all of these moves the KC Royals have made this winter, fans are increasingly becoming more optimistic for the team’s chances of contending in 2017.

The biggest worry I have for this season is that Cleveland is going to be really tough to beat. One, they’re in the same division as the Royals, and two… Well, that’s basically it.

They’ll be getting all of their starting pitching back off of injuries and that already makes them terrifying. They’ve signed some bats this offseason too and will have that same motivation the Royals had when they lost the World Series. Cleveland will have a very similar storyline and that will make them tough.

The Kansas City Royals can be a contender in 2017 and all of these guys will help with that. Soler gives them a true right fielder for the first time in ages, Karns offers rotation help, and Moss can be that home run hitting slugger that the Royals desperately need.

This roster might not be as familiar as the one from two seasons ago, but Dayton Moore has continued to add pieces and keep them relevant. Let’s hope these moves pay off and we can watch our boys in blue in the World Series once again.
