Who To Watch On Game Day

When it comes to scouting linebackers and running backs for the Kansas City Chiefs, or any team, it’s best to wait until the actual game. That’s where these position groups will really have a chance to shine. Here are the big three that I’m going to be watching.

Jamaal Williams – RB – BYU: The game film on Jamaal Williams is interesting. At first look, you would almost think he was a clone of Knile Davis…except stronger and faster. However, as I watched more tape on him, I saw a guy who could move well laterally, and make people miss with his shiftiness. I want to see how he uses that in the Senior Bowl.

Connor Harris – ILB – Lindenwood: He’s undersized and hasn’t faced much top level talent. However, scouts seem to love Connor Harris. The all time leader in tackles in NCAA, Harris wows people with his football character and work ethic. It’s impressive to watch him get out there and go all out every single time.

Kareem Hunt – RB – Toledo: I believe that Kareem Hunt is criminally underrated. I have a hard time coming up with better fits for the Chiefs offense than Hunt. His shiftiness and explosion are phenomenal. I won’t claim he is the next Jamaal Charles (yet), but their running styles are very similar. Hoping he confirms what I’ve seen on game day.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a lot of picks for this year’s draft, and there is a lot of talent that should fit the team. There is very little doubt in my mind that someone playing in the Senior Bowl this week will end up playing in Red n’ Gold on Sundays next season.
