JUSTIN HOUSTON MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

The biggest missing piece for the Kansas City Chiefs back in week four was outside linebacker Justin Houston, who was still out with that ACL injury.

Houston has been said to be available for this weekend’s game, according to BJ Kissel of the Chiefs official website. This very well could make the difference in this ball game, as Houston has proven to be a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball and provides that pass rush that the Chiefs desperately need.

For the most part, Justin Houston has been a disappointment this season, but that’s not his fault. He shouldn’t have been playing in the playoff games last year, but the situation was handled poorly and he ended up basically missing all of 2016.

The one game Houston made an impact in was the road game against the Broncos in which he had three sacks on Trevor Siemian and showed the world he was ready to rumble once again.

With Houston’s setback, the team opted to rest him in the final two weeks of the regular season and then they obviously had the bye last week. That’s given Houston three weeks to rest up and hopefully he’s ready to feast against that Pittsburgh offensive line on Sunday. The Chiefs are going to need him in order to win.
