A Key Steal (Game 5 of 2015 World Series)

Jarrod Dyson might not have started for the Royals in Game 5 of the World Series, but he played a critical role in getting them their first title in 30 years.

After Salvador Perez had gotten on first with no outs, Dyson was put into the game as pinch runner. Addison Reed was pitching to Alex Gordon, and the Mets knew that Dyson would be a threat to steal.

After Gordon had a 2-0 count, Dyson took off and stole second base. There was no question that he was safe.

That steal was huge, as it ended up being the go-ahead run for the Royals in 12th inning. Of course, they’d then tack on four more runs to win 7-2, but Dyson got the party started and it was huge.

The Dyson steal happens around 1:20 in the video linked below.

The KC Royals could always count on Jarrod Dyson for a key steal, but the final moment on this list is arguably the biggest stolen base of all.
