Week 13 – Chiefs at Falcons

Chiefs won 29-28 (My prediction: 38-17, Chiefs)

Remember when I said the Atlanta Falcons would be hot garbage in 2016? Wow, I’m an idiot.

The Falcons were one of the hottest teams in the entire league this season and that’s all because of Matt Ryan. Ryan proved that he deserves the MVP Award this season because he put up unreal numbers, led the Falcons to an 11-5 record, an NFC South title, and a two-seed in the playoffs.

This game should have been called Eric Berry Vs the Falcons because he singlehandedly won it for Kansas City.

Going into the 2016 campaign, I predicted this game against the Falcons to be Kansas City’s lone road victory on the year. They went 6-2 on the road. Again… Wow, I’m an idiot.

"This will likely be an uneventful game, as the Chiefs will run away with it early on. Atlanta will try to claw their way back near the end, but it’ll be too late for the bird gang."

This game should have been called Eric Berry Vs the Falcons because he singlehandedly won it for Kansas City. He had a pick-six off Ryan near the end of the first half and had the first pick-two in NFL history. The pick-two is an interception returned for a touchdown when the opposing team attempts a two-point conversion. That was huge!

Yeah, Berry is a beast. Sign him to a long-term deal please, Dorsey.

Atlanta went on to run the table in their final four games. Kansas City sparked something with them, and maybe we’ll see this rematch in the Super Bowl. Man, the national media would HATE that!

Out of all of the predictions I made this season, this one was the weirdest. I predicted that Atlanta would be terrible and the Chiefs would destroy them, yet they ended up being fantastic and the Chiefs still won. Hooray for me!

Chiefs: 9-3 (Leigh: 7-5)
