The beginning of conference season is shaping up to be a fun one for Jayhawk fans. If this team plays to their ceiling, there is no reason that they should not go undefeated in this first set of games.

KU basketball has a chance to be really special this season and taking care of business in these four games will go a long way in helping the Jayhawks secure their 13th straight conference title.

While I only covered the first few games on the Big 12 slate this season, I’ll get to the later ones in a few weeks.

As I mentioned at the beginning of my post, the Baylor Bears are the team that I could see giving KU basketball the biggest run for their money this season. Baylor has jumped out to a 12-0 start this season and are electric in almost every aspect on the court.

The Bears are ranked fifth in RPI, according to ESPN, which is higher than the Jayhawks sit (13th). While Baylor has started off hot and then faded in the past, don’t expect that to happen with the Bears this season. They’ve got a lot to play for in 2017.

The fun begins on Friday at 8:00 PM. Rock Chalk Jayhawk, GO KU!!!!!
