At Oklahoma Sooners  (6-5) – Tuesday, January 10th, 2017

The Sooners come in to conference play as losers in four of their last five games. The departure of Buddy Hield has caused this game to lose some of it’s allure, as it’s tough to lose a player of that caliber and expect the same type of intensity.

Both of the games played between these two teams last season were epic performances that fans thought might carry over into this season. This season the first battle will take place in only the forth Big 12 game of the season and despite this being a road contest, KU basketball has the edge for sure.

Devonte Graham was tasked with handling Buddy Hield during the February 13th match up last year. During this match-up, he effectively shut Hield down en route to score a game leading 27 points.

Jordan Woodard is having a nice season though, which is good for OU basketball. Currently he is averaging 17.6 points per game. He’s not the same caliber of player as Hield, but he is certainly a threat to pour on some points. Watch out for him in this game.

Oklahoma basketball head coach Lon Kruger always has his team ready to play the Kansas Jayhawks. This will be a fun game to watch and one that might be closer than people expect.

Prediction: KU basketball wins 65-61
