GOOD: JESSE ERTZ

Where has this quarterback been all season?! Man, Jesse Ertz was on fire on Wednesday night, not only rushing the ball like usual, but he was slinging the football down the field!

Jesse Ertz finished his first full season as K-State football’s main man by eclipsing the 1,000 yard rushing mark.

Ertz ended his night going 14 for 20 on pass attempts for 195 yards and a touchdown. The lone touchdown pass came on a 79-yard strike to wide receiver Byron Pringle, who made that a no doubt touchdown when he grabbed the pass.

Big plays like that one was what the offense had been missing this season and when it worked, holy crap this offense was scary!

Ertz trusted his arm more than he had in past games and it paid off big. He didn’t have as big of a night rushing the ball as he took it 24 times for just 67 yards. Still not bad though, not to mention he had two touchdown runs on the evening as well.

Jesse Ertz finished his first full season as K-State football’s main man by eclipsing the 1,000 yard rushing mark. That’s phenomenal and has to make Wildcat fans feel pretty good having him under center for 2017.
