AFC Playoffs 4th Seed

Houston Texans (9-6)

It’s going to be frustrating for Kansas City Chiefs fans if KC doesn’t get a home game but the Houston Texans do. Of course, a lot of that would be the Chiefs own fault for losing to the Texans. On the other hand, a rematch against the Texans would be a solid opportunity for Kansas City to advance in the playoffs. Simply put, the Chiefs are a better team.

Of course, it’s hard to see anyone in the AFC playoffs as not being a better team than the Texans. Houston is getting into the postseason by being the best team in a bad division. Houston does have a couple of impressive wins on their schedule, including the Chiefs. However, this is not a team that strikes fear into anyone.

The Texans are locked in as the #4 seed in the AFC playoff picture, so this week will be a chance to rest some players. However, the Houston Texans do need to get quarterback Tom Savage up to speed. A late season quarterback change is never easy to do, so Houston will have to get him plenty of work. That, of course, comes with its own risk.
