Mitchell Schwartz vs Von Miller

While the Kansas City Chiefs have a strong pair of pass rushers, the Denver Broncos are no slouches in that department either. That is especially true of Von Miller. The star linebacker is one of the premier sack artists in the league today. Holding him off will fall on the shoulders of the Chiefs top free agent acquisition this year, Mitchell Schwartz.

On the whole, Mitchell Schwartz has been about as solid a right tackle as the Chiefs could ask for. However, he has been credited as giving up ten sacks this season by Pro Football Focus. Three of those sacks are from Von Miller. This will be a crucial match up for Kansas City as the Broncos defense relies on Miller to be disruptive.

Last year with the Browns, Schwartz held his own and shut out Von Miller when the two faced off. While a shut out should probably not be expected, any result better than Miller’s three sack performance is more than welcome. If Mitchell Schwartz can step up this week, the Kansas City Chiefs should be able to pull out a solid win.
