F. . . . ANDY REID

It’s rare for me to put a coach on here, but Andy Reid gets an F this week. Can any of you blame me for that?

The part that hurts the most about this loss is that the Chiefs pretty much had it won. Ryan Succop missed the 53-yard field goal, but Andy Reid had called a time out, probably to try and ice him.

I like Andy Reid and I’m not saying that the Chiefs should fire him, but he was a big part of why this team lost on Sunday.

On the next attempt, Succop hit the game winner. That hurts, man. That hurts real bad.

Reid also had some really bad play calling all game long and it cost this team big time. The time management was an issue and while we’ve all grown accustom to it, that doesn’t make it okay.

Reid also has this tendency to let the foot off the gas pedal and let teams get back into the game. We saw it in the 2013 Wild Card Game. We saw it in the Oakland game last week. We saw it this weekend against Tennessee. NEVER LET YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL. KEEP THE OFFENSE MOVING AND SCORING BECAUSE THAT’S HOW YOU WIN FOOTBALL GAMES!!!!

Now look – I like Andy Reid and I’m not saying that the Chiefs should fire him like some fans are, but he was a big part of why this team lost on Sunday. Poor play calling, bad clock management, and that final timeout all led to why the Chiefs couldn’t close out the win on Sunday.

I haven’t had many opportunities to post this video this season, so here it is. Bittersweet moment for me.
