The Kansas City Royals have struggled to find a consistent starter at second base. This season will be no different for the boys in blue, but who will ultimately get the nod to start at second base?

From Omar Infante to Chris Getz, the Kansas City Royals have tried just about everything to find their permanent man at second base. It’s been an ongoing battle in the middle of the diamond, but this year the Royals have several different options to choose from at second base.

Last season, Omar Infante was the starter at second base to start the season, but was designated for assignment before the All-Star Game talk even began. Whit Merrifield then took over and then young Raul Mondesi Jr. took some starts there as well.

It was a rotating position for the KC Royals, but this season will hopefully see some more consistency there.

So, which guys are in the run for being the starting second baseman for the Kansas City Royals in 2017? Here are the options, listed in alphabetical order.
