Tyreek Hill: Offensive Rookie Of The Year

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few weeks, then you know about Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The dynamic rookie playmaker has caught fire over the last few games, finding the endzone in every way imaginable. It has been enough to earn him AFC Offensive Player of the Week and AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Unlike Chris Jones, Tyreek Hill does have the flashy stats to claim this kind of an award. Having developed as a wide receiver, Hill has turned into a player who can be on the field quite a bit. That leads to more opportunities. The more opportunities the rookie receiver gets, the more chances he can get his name in the minds of voters.

As for Hill’s chances at winning the award, it could turn into a tight race between him and Ezekiel Elliot. Elliot is the odds on favorite to take this award, but Tyreek Hill can change that over the next few weeks. Hill has to keep his name in voters minds by continuing to put up the big time highlights. That, of course, is good news for Chiefs fans.

Will He Win It?: My guess is that Ezekiel Elliot does end up claiming this one, but that Tyreek Hill makes it closer than you might expect down the stretch.
