Kansas City Chiefs: Five Things To Watch Vs Tennessee Titans
By Ben Almquist
Do The Chiefs Attack Deep?
Over the past few weeks, Kansas City Chiefs fans have enjoyed watching the offense open up and get more aggressive. However, it still appears the Chiefs are holding back in certain situations. We have watched this team attack their opponents at the beginning and end of games through the air. However, it does not appear to be a sustained effort.
One of the key components to this has been the emergence of Tyreek Hill. The young speedster has surprised everyone with how quickly he has learned the Chiefs offense. He not only creates his own mismatches (even when double teamed), but also opens up better opportunities for other receivers. It is a new wrinkle that this team is exploiting.
Alex Smith is clearly embracing his new weapon, and the opportunities created by Hill’s presence. Since Tyreek Hill emerged as a threat, both Travis Kelce and Chris Conley have become bigger threats. The Chiefs need to utilize these threats against a Titans pass defense that has been struggling this year.
