Justin March

There is a possibility that the Kansas City Chiefs have another option for replacing Derrick Johnson. For a while now, it has been assumed that the Chiefs would use their Injured Reserve (IR) return designation on Jamaal Charles. However, Andy Reid made it clear that the team will consider using the designation on Justin March.

This is a possibility that many Chiefs fans had not considered. Justin March was placed on IR back in October for a broken hand. It would seem that he is a prime candidate to return. A broken hand doesn’t necessarily heal quickly, but it can be covered with a protective cast. If March were to return to his previous “thumper” position, that wouldn’t impede him very much.

Chiefs fans have been largely impressed by Justin March so far in his short career, and it appears that the coaching staff agrees. March was even ahead of Ramik Wilson on the depth chart for this season and got the first crack at starting next to Derrick Johnson. So his return to the roster would make the most sense, while moving Wilson into DJ’s spot.
