Ugly: Penalties

Oof. This was easily the ugliest part of the game, as the Chiefs were getting flagged left and right to start the game.

They ended the day with 13 penalties for 128 yards, which is just awful.

If the Kansas City Chiefs want to be a contender this season, then they can’t make stupid mistakes. They’ve been better about not getting dumb penalties lately, but had a step back Sunday.

Any of those flags could have ended up costing them points or giving the Falcons points, and it was a one-point game. Deal breaker, for sure.

Fortunately, Kansas City plays Oakland in their next game, who are the most penalized team in the whole league.
